Activities at Widcombe Baptist Church
At Widcombe Baptist Church, our Sunday Services are the focus of our activities. We do also have may other activities for a wide variety of ages throughout the week.
We have a number of Home Groups that meet in various locations in the City. Some Home Groups meet on Tuesdays and some meet on Wednesdays.
The men's fellowship includes a monthly breakfast at which a time of fellowship, prayer, good food and conversation is had. For over 100 years Widcombe Baptist Church has had a football team and we currently run several teams. During the summer we have a friendly Cricket team.
Fellowship, friendship and a warm welcome awaits those of us 50+! Network meets monthly at Widcombe, October-April and enjoys a variety of day trips throughout the summer months. Network generally meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 2.30-4pm.
Bath has a large student population including The University Of Bath, Bath Spa University and several colleges. Widcombe Baptist Church actively supports Christian Unions at the Universities, especially during the "mission weeks". We offer a warm welcome and a variety of activities for all students. Particularly popular is our Sunday evening "underground" group.
We run a mid-week women's bible study, and a monthly Saturday morning brunch at which we share a time of prayer, conversation and great food.
Youth
We have a variety of youth activities. Friday nights see 3 different youth clubs catering from primary school children, through to 18 year olds. Midweek we have a Toddlers groups. On Sundays we Sunday School for 3-11 year olds, and "Engage" for 11-14s.
